Dalkey Island is a very nice respite from the crowds in Dublin. It is calm & peaceful and offers terrific views of the Irish Sea and coast. We saw seals basking on our way over via Ken the Ferryman. …Full review by dolmen2018

It's from colimore harbour. If you look it up on the internet or fb you'll see the times. But he's always there. Probably starts around 11. If I find out later I'll post it for you. He literally crosses over to the island, comes back and goes over again. If there are people there waiting. So not an hourly thing or anything.

im assuming you are getting the dart from the Dublin side and heading south to dalkey. the stop you get off at will be "Dalkey". its after the stop for Glenageary. walk out of the train station and onto the street and proceed down the hill towards the village. a pub called Finnegans will be on the corner on your right (thats where michelle obama and the kids stopped for lunch last year). walk past the pub about 50 yards and you will be at a junction with 5 roads. take the turn where you see the Magpie pub on your right. keep on the right and proceed to Coliemore Road. keep walking down the road and you will come to the little harbour on your left. Ken runs the boat service. its only 5 to 10 min to the islands. watch for the weather as it doesnt run when its bad. look up my review on Dalkey Island for more info. great old church and martello tower on the island plus wildlife. we live right there so get to enjoy the views every day. dalkey is a great village for pubs and great food. enjoy your time there!
