Can you see this statue from the Vasco da Gama tower side of the water (Parque das Nações)? Or is it not visible from there?
A:
Yes you can. It's actually visible from most places it's that big. However, it does start to get cloudy over the river late afternoon which can obscure the statue at times
Is this worth going to? There are 2 hour tours with skip the line or just take a taxi/ferry and walk around. I heard the lines are long and a tour gets you right in. Steps or elevator?
A:
No need to get any guides. Easy access, get Uber or hire a car. Best options

When you say "Lisbon main square" I think you mean Praca do Comercio. From here, you can walk to Cais do Sodre ferry terminal,it's less than 1km alongside the Tagus/Tejo river's bank. You have to take a boat to Cacilhas(the company that operate this route is Transtejo;it's an about 20 minutes trip, there are about 3-4 departures/hour).From Cacilhas you have to take bus line 101.The bus station is very close to the ferry terminal. At end of the line(after 20-25 min) is Cristo Rei sanctuary.
