The Art Center of Citrus County is a member-owned and operated 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the participation, education, and appreciation of the arts. The Art Center carries out this mission through programs in the visual and theatrical arts here on its campus in central Citrus County. The Art Center programs concentrate on using artistic venues to build confidence, self-determination, and problem-solving skills for anyone who wants to learn something new. The Art Center is a 501c3 organization incorporated in 1974. The current campus consists of two buildings, a 6,500-square-foot Art and Education Building originally built in 1984 and and remodeled in 2007, and a 7,000-square-foot community theater that opened in 2003.
