I have only visited the gardens in April . Most of the flowers had not yet bloomed and I just caught the end of the cherry blossoms blooming. I still enjoyed it immensely . The leaves that do change colour will probably be at their peak by the time you visit, depending on the weather the next couple of weeks . Likewise with the botanical gardens down the road.
