As you go through the gateway into the castle there is a door on the left and you can visit the tower and the battlements over the gate. We didn't actually go inside the castle - it was pretty to walk around the park and they had a Christmas market in the castle grounds and a skating rink just outside so that kept us busy. It is a very pretty little place and easy to get to from Heroes Square, enjoy your visit.
Is it possible to take take wedding pictures here?

It must be possible... Gates are open. No guards. No tickets. No security. The tour is all free. People walking around freely. And wedding photos must be free/possible too (I assume, I guess).

You can book the tower tours as you enter the museum (although I would not bother with the gate tower as there is really not much to see). We just went and paid for what …
You can book the tower tours as you enter the museum (although I would not bother with the gate tower as there is really not much to see). We just went and paid for what we wanted on the day and there was no problem with doing that as it was not that busy. The only thing I found you really need to book ahead for in Budapest because of limited availability was the tour of the parliament building and you cannot enter the parliament if you are not on a tour
