Can we swim and snorkel from the beach? I can't really tell from the photos or the varied feedback whether it's possible for a family to simply walk out and then swim to have a look. It looks like about 50 metres so not sure why we would pay a boat tour? Anyone got advice or experience (ie not someone who runs a business selling boat tours to the wrecks!)

Thanks for answering. We visited earlier this week and we snorkelled from the beach with our 10 and 11 year old kids. We spent over 90 minutes in the water exploring the Wrecks.
