I have never snorkelled before. . They gave a brief demo on the journey out. Once on the pontoon you help yourself to the kit. There is someone offering advise about suits etc and they have a lifeguard. You can then spend as long in the water as you want. Really easy, coral looked a little dead so not particularly colourful but we did see some lovely fish.

very slim- from what we heard on the local news the Great White sharks were spotted (and i believe there was an attack) to the north of Cairns and also more prevalent along the Gold Coast. Although deadly creatures can be encountered anywhere in Australia, salt water crocodiles were the ones to look out for.
I bought the 1/2 day trip. I didn’t plan on snorkeling so it was just the right amount of time. We got to the island, took the glass bottom boat tour, had lunch and walked around the island.
Hi there, we are a group of 5 adults, 1 child and an infant of 13 months and I'm in the process of booking us a day trip to Green Island in December from Palm Cove.We would like to do the glass bottom boat and also the semi-submersible if possible. Can anyone tell me how convenient these both are with an infant in a buggy please? Thank you.

Hi there, the glass bottom semisubmersible is better with out the buggy :) there isn't much room and you have to go down a steep flight of stairs to get to it, a carry pack would be fine though
