Great views, well kept courtyard. Impressive church. Friendly staff at the entrance, surrounded by pampered small dogs and cats.Full review by Anca D

Hi everyone, I would love to visit Viscri, but will be renting a car for my trip in Romania. I know that there is a bumpy road leading to Viscri, but I'm not sure how bumpy it is. Is it paved, but just needs to be repaved? Rental cars aren't allowed to be taken off-road. Would it be considered off road to go to Viscri, where I would be in trouble with the rental car company for damages? I would appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you.

Hi I agree with all other answers. Only thing to add it that the church is closed for at least one hour when the caretaker has lunch from about 1 pm. Not much to do but sit and wait.
