Left-handed slugger Yordan Alvarez is in his seventh season as a member of the Houston Astros. The Cuban superstar made his MLB debut in 2019 and took off immediately, winning American League Rookie of the Year after smashing 27 home runs and driving in 78 runs in just 87 games.
And now, unfortunately, another star player will be joining that list for the two-time champions, as third baseman Isaac Paredes, the team's home run leader, has been announced to have suffered a 'significant' hamstring injury Saturday evening against the Seattle Mariners.
