Soccer Canada has dismissed allegations from Alphonso Davies' agent that they let the team captain play in a Nations League match despite not being fully fit. Davies' club Bayern Munich said on Wednesday that left back Davies suffered a cruciate knee ligament tear in Canada's weekend match against the United States which required surgery and that he would be sidelined for several months.

Alphonso Davies suffered a torn ACL while playing in the Concacaf Nations League for Canada, and now his agent is criticizing Canada Soccer for their treatment of his client.

Davies will undergo surgery within the next 24 hours, and is expected to be sidelined for at least six months.
