The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance welcomed its newest resident early Friday morning — a male reticulated giraffe calf born to parents BB and Jasiri.

The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance (DZCA) has welcomed a newborn giraffe. After a 444-day pregnancy, 4-year-old reticulated giraffe BB gave birth to a healthy male calf on the morning of Friday, March 7.

This is the first giraffe born at the Denver Zoo since the 2017 birth of Dobby, who is now the oldest giraffe in their herd.
