Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo has revealed that she was reluctant to say one of the iconic lines from the show. The actor has appeared as Dr Meredith Grey on the ABC medical-drama since 2005, though she has scaled back her appearances following the 19th season in 2022.

Oh played the ambitious and brilliant Cristina Yang on the ABC series. Like Pompeo, she was an original cast member, but she left “Grey’s Anatomy” during season 10 in 2014. Pompeo, meanwhile, was a series regular until the season 19 premiere in 2023. She continues to make appearances on the show and serves as an executive producer.
