A disturbance off the Atlantic coast of Florida could bring heavy rainfall to portions of Florida and the Gulf Coast in the coming days.

The highest rain and storm chances will be in the northern interior parts of Central Florida, including the metro Orlando area, according to NWS Melbourne.

The trough of low pressure located off the coast of Florida is causing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. The disturbance is forecast to move into the north-central Gulf, where environmental conditions could allow for slow development. The NHC expects the system to move inland by the weekend, ending any chances of development.
