STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New details have been revealed by authorities in the investigation of a baby being tossed into a trash chute on Staten Island. Aaron Henderson, 39, is facing multiple charges after he allegedly dumped a 1-year-old girl into a garbage chute within a Concord apartment building, according to law enforcement.

Aaron Henderson is facing charges of assault, unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child for throwing the baby down the three-story chute, officials said.

A 1-year-old baby is recovering after being thrown down a garbage chute on Staten Island Monday, police said. It happened at around 3:15 p.m. at 195 Steuben Street near Weser Avenue. The baby was rushed to Richmond University Hospital in stable condition. The child was apparently not injured.
