President Donald Trump says a trip to China may happen soon, hinting at efforts to stabilize U.S.-China trade relations.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he may visit China soon for a landmark trip to address simmering trade and security tensions between the superpower rivals.

The Office of Management and Budget under the Executive Office of the President said the Trump administration appreciated the $500 million allocated by the House of Representatives, calling it "critical to enabling the Department of Defense's efforts to strengthen Taiwan's self-defense capabilities ," the Focus Taiwan news portal reported.
