UNITED NATIONS (AP) — President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that the United States will withdraw from the top U.N. human rights body and will not resume funding for the U.N. agency helping Palestinian refugees. Hamas has been designated a terrorist organization by the United States, Canada, and European Union.

Trump signed an order withdrawing the U.S. from the UNHRC, a 47-member international institution tasked with improving human rights around the world.
