An 18-year-old from North Highlands died in a crash that shut down a stretch of Highway 65 in Yuba County for multiple hours Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

A major injury crash involving multiple vehicles shut down southbound Highway 65 in Yuba County, the California Highway Patrol said. According to CHP, the southbound lanes are closed near McGowan Parkway for at least two hours. Traffic is being diverted in the area, and drivers can reenter on the McGown onramp.

The Toyota driver lost control of the car and spun out onto the right shoulder, overturning several times and hitting the McGowan Parkway overcrossing embankment.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says a two vehicle crash on I-85 in Lee County closed the northbound lane of I-85 near mile marker 68. ALEA says the crash occurred just before 3 p.m. CST. Highway Patrol Officers are on the scene and conducting an investigation.

Wisconsin Department of Transportation reported at 7:20 a.m. that the closure was expected to last around two hours.

The Canton Police Department is investigating a traffic crash that caused delays this morning on I-77 northbound.
