After more than a year of speculation, Apple TV+ has ordered a fourth season of its Emmy-winning comedy Ted Lasso. The pickup comes after co-creator and star Jason Sudeikis closed a deal to reprise his role as the title character,

The news broke earlier today that Ted Lasso would be returning to Apple TV for a fourth season. Jason Sudeikis confirmed the news himself, and even let it be known that the likely premise for the fourth installment is that Lasso would be coaching a women’s team:

Season 2, episode 9, of the Apple TV+ original thriller airs Thursday evening/Friday. "Severance," directed by Ben Stiller, follows a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives.
