Out with curly and blue; in with angular and gold. Microsoft's Bing search engine has just received a major redesign which it's hoped will reinvigorate the service—but is it really enough?

Microsoft has updated the logo for its Bing search engine, seen above on the right. The bright yellow has been replaced by a tame green and switched the ‘b’ to upper case.

An Internet search on the evolution of the Bing logo returned some fresh hits Thursday as tweaks were made at the 6-year-old Microsoft product.

Microsoft has made some improvements to Bing in an attempt to take its search engine into the "next phase" of its life. To help, it's given Bing a new logo.
