Chrono24 is exploring a stock market listing in a deal that could value the online marketplace for luxury watches at 1-1.5 billion euros, people close to the matter said.

Cristiano Ronaldo has become an investor in Chrono24, the global luxury watch resale marketplace. Ronaldo has been a frequent user of the platform, and said he is "thrilled" to be a shareholder now.

Established in 2003 and headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, Chrono24 today boasts a valuation of more than US$1 billion, with over 530,000 watches from more than 3,000 dealers listed on its platform.
