Fortnite developer Epic Games will take the game offline for an extended period of server maintenance on March 11.

There's good news and bad news for Fortnite fans, as a new season of content is on the horizon, but only after a period of server downtime.

Fortnite went offline at 2 a.m. ET, and season updates usually take approximately 4-7 hours. If everything is on schedule, players will be able to log in and play away before 9 a.m. ET.
