The scariest part of climbing the famous Half Dome cables is not the difficulty of the climb, the steepness of the slope, the dizzying exposure or the altitude.

The Half Dome looks particularly spectacular from the top parts of the walk since it's possible to see the whole cliff face of the mountain, from its base in the valley to its very peak.
