The Essex County Sheriff's Dept. is offering a $25,000 reward for information about the shooter responsible for fatally slaying Imam Hassan Sharif outside a Newark mosque Wednesday.

Imam Hassan Sharif was in his car when he was shot more than once at about 6 a.m. Wednesday near the Masjid-Muhammad Mosque in Newark, New Jersey. He died hours later at a nearby hospital.
