The Star Editorial Board endorses Joseph Jackson and Melissa Robinson in Tuesday’s 3rd District City Council primary. Two candidates will advance to the June election to succeed Jermaine Reed.

Gilbert/Robinson was well known for starting the casual dining scene in Kansas City with Houlihan’s. The last of the three co-founders, Bill Gilbert, died at 94 on June 12, 2017.
