Over 700 personal injury claims were made as a result of accidents at Leeds station within a five-year period, according to new data.

Construction of a new platform will continue, enabling longer trains with more seats to run, whilst work on a new station entrance and track upgrades through the area will also be completed.

Emergency services remain at the scene of the incident in the Yeadon area of Leeds, police say. A new entrance, pedestrianised square and multi-storey car park could be built if funding is granted.
