MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison’s Henry Vilas Zoo announced the birth of a new litter of baby meerkats Thursday. The four meerkat pups were born last month to mom, Poppy, the zoo stated.

Amadi and Hardi, two of the Virginia Zoo's slender-tailed meerkats that have been in Norfolk for a decade and were "extremely bonded", were humanely euthanized last week, the zoo reported.
