Reigning National League MVP Shohei Ohtani and five other players — winners of Cy Young Award and Rookie of the Year in each league — will wear a gold patch on their uniform during the 2025 season to signify the accomplishment.

Expanding on the success of the MLB Debut Patch, Topps, MLB and Nike have partnered to recognize baseball's elite performers from last season with custom gold-embellished MLB logos on their jerseys that will then be used to create trading cards.
