An April Fools' joke about renaming Whitechapel London Underground station as "Chapel" has been reshared online as if serious.

The Whitechapel Station Concourse project is a key element in the extensive refurbishment of the Elizabeth Line, a major upgrade aimed at improving London’s transportation infrastructure.

Sharing about the same, the Great Yarmouth MP, Rupert Lowe, took to his X (formerly called Twitter) on Sunday and posted a picture of the dual-language signboard at the Whitechapel Station.
