In Kingman, Arizona, an 8-mile section of Route 66 at the western edge of this state may be one of the most scenic — and white-knuckled —drives this country has to offer.

The Route 66 Fun Run is a rolling party that celebrates the road once known as “America’s Main Street” and Arizona’s role in saving it. The annual event takes place May 2-4 this year.
