Police have charged a 46-year-old man with a string of serious offences following an alleged high-speed chase through Perth on Thursday that ended when he got bogged on Scarborough Beach.
The family home lies near the beach at Scarborough, just south of where the destructive core of then-Tropical Cyclone Alfred was predicted to cross the Queensland coast on Saturday morning.
