The trends on Gift Nifty indicate a flat-to-positive start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 23,480 level, a premium of nearly 20 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

The top Index losers include key stocks. While many of these stocks have yielded hefty returns over 1-year, most of these counters are down with double digit losses YTD.

Broader markets saw sharper declines, with the BSE MidCap index falling 2.9 percent and the BSE SmallCap index plunging 3.4 percent.
