PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) -- The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for western Oregon and Washington. Thunderstorms have begun to pop west of Salem. “This could be an extraordinary day for us,” says Storm Tracker 2 Meteorologist Rhonda Shelby. “We don’t usually see this enhanced possibility of large hail.”
