The Lubbock SWAT Challenge in April will be the first fundraiser of its kind for the foundation. There are several hurdles facing law enforcement, and protecting the community takes funding.

North Metro SWAT, made up of police officers from Dunwoody, Brookhaven, and Chamblee, brought home the Best SWAT Team trophy at the 2025 South Carolina SWAT Challenge: The Ragnarök.

Matthew Parkinson, a lieutenant with the SAPD applicant processing unit, said he and his team aims to finish the SWAT challenge obstacle course in less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
