Victor Bueno, whose death last month made him the first inmate in Washington state prisons to die of COVID-19, may have sealed his own fate in the form of a greeting card sent in 2017 to his ex-wife.

The first Coyote Ridge inmate died from the coronavirus. Victor Bueno has been in treatment since May 31. He is part of the largest outbreak of the virus in the Department of Corrections system.
