The stars of "Happy Gilmore 2" hit the green carpet in New York to celebrate the film's upcoming release, in which Adam Sandler returns to the golf course as Happy Gilmore nearly 30 years after the original film.

The family all appear in the new "Happy Gilmore" sequel, a follow-up to the 1996 golf comedy film, which stars Adam Sandler as the titular character. This time, Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore is trying to make a golf comeback to help bring his daughter's ballet dreams to life.

“Happy Gilmore,” released in 1996, was Sander and Herlihy’s second movie, following “Billy Madison.” Sandler was just exiting “Saturday Night Live.” Herlihy was Sandler’s roommate at New York University and became a lawyer before Sandler got him to stick to writing comedy.
