Harris is the latest assistant to be added to new head coach Ben Johnson's staff in Chicago, joining former Detroit Lions wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El, who will serve as the Bears' assistant head coach and receivers coach.

In his two full seasons with Detroit, Johnson went 3-1 against Green Bay, including sweeping them in their two regular season meetings in 2024. As he stated in his press conference, Johnson particularly enjoyed beating Packers head coach Matt LaFleur twice in a season.
