BJP, contesting 68 seats, last held power in Delhi from 1993 to 1998, before internal conflicts and rising inflation, particularly the onion crisis, led to its downfall. Since then, it has failed to reclaim the city, despite sweeping victories in national and state elections elsewhere.

After many exit polls predictions showed the BJP leads in the Delhi Assembly Elections, with the ruling party trailing behind, AAP leader Reena Gupta expressed her confidence that the party is going to make a remarkable victory and Arvind Kejriwal will be the CM for the fourth time in Delhi.

While the majority of exit polls show BJP having an edge to grab the chair in Delhi, only two predict AAP maintaining its hold in the national capital.

"All exit poll results are showing BJP taking lead. We have been saying that BJP is going to form the government in Delhi. People have rejected Arvind Kejriwal's 11-year rule," BJP MP Yogender Chandolia tells PTI.

With a turnout of 57.78 per cent until 5 pm, all eyes are now on the exit polls in Delhi. Seven pollsters have unanimously given the edge in Delhi to the BJP, while the Aam Aadmi Party is lagging behind.
