LSU coach Brian Kelly is rebutting claims made on national television that he showed minimal interest in Greg Brooks Jr.'s well-being after the defensive back's football career was cut short by emergency surgery to remove a brain tumor.

Brian Kelly on Wednesday disputed comments made by the father of former LSU safety Greg Brooks Jr., who alleged the Tigers coach abandoned the player after he had surgery to remove a brain tumor in September 2023.

The father of the former LSU player claimed that Kelly has not been present since his son's surgery for brain cancer.
