Bell’s 12th career victory and his second straight in the Phoenix spring race came by a mere 0.049-second, making it the second closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history at the one-mile track. It also made the Oklahoma native the first driver to win three consecutive races in the current Cup car since it was introduced in 2022.

The NASCAR Cup Series season is four races old and Christopher Bell has already accomplished something no Cup driver has done in five seasons. Bell won his third straight race of 2025 when he beat his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin in a two-lap sprint to the finish.

Bell's win didn't come easy in the closing moments as a series of late race cautions set up multiple restarts and Bell defending against his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Denny Hamlin. Joe Gibbs would earn its first 1-2 of the season with Bell and Hamlin.

Christopher Bell's crew chief admits this rate of success "will be hard to maintain," but the Joe Gibbs Racing driver shows no signs of slowing down.
