BOSTON — Red Sox starter Brayan Bello showed his athleticism while covering first base during the first inning Tuesday. He stretched out fully and kept his foot on the bag to complete a 3-6-1 double play and escape a bases-loaded jam. He fell to the dirt once the play was completed.

Catcher Carlos Narváez helped Bello along in his first start of 2025 for the Red Sox. Bello lasted five innings and allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out three.

Brayan Bello allowed one run over five innings in his season debut, Triston Casas hit a three-run homer in the seventh and the Boston Red Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 8-3 for their sixth win in seven games.
