People across the state are still giving what they can to help the Hill Country after the deadly flood. That includes to the relief fund set up by the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.

Of the $60 million raised for July 4 flood recovery in the Texas Hill Country, only about $9.4 million has been distributed so far. The Community Foundation overseeing the fund says it’s forming a council to guide long-term recovery and ensure transparency.

The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has collected the funding and started handing it to nonprofits through its Kerr County Relief Fund after the July 4 flood disaster.
