The MICDS Athletic Department, in St. Louis, has hired Matt Irvin to become the school's next head football coach. Irvin returns to the program he coached from 2005-2007. During this three year period he went 33-3 making two state championship game appearances in the process.

Irvin got his coaching start at MICDS and returns after 17 years away from the Ladue school. He began his career as an assistant under Ron Holtman at MICDS in 1997 and took over as head coach for three seasons beginning in 2005. The Rams were 33-3 under Irvin, including two state runner-up finishes in 2005 and 2007.

The Waco Independent School District is welcoming back Esrom Martinez as the new athletic coordinator and head football coach of the Waco High School Lions. The district says Martinez is a seasoned athletic coach with 15 years of experience.
