The area in question is where the A60 Mansfield Road has its junction with A6211 Thackeray's Lane and Ribblesdale Road is known as Sherwood, Woodthorpe and Daybrook, depending on who you ask.

Nottingham City Transport and Trentbarton have both announced diversions to usual routes for some of their buses that use the road. For NCT, the 25, 53/54 and the 58 are currently diverting.
