Rain chances come back Saturday
Expect that system to bring rain on Saturday. Right now it looks like scattered showers and storms through the day but not a total washout. We do have a level 1 severe outlook over us for Saturday with the main threat being hail.
An “unusually strong” storm system for March may bring a range of hazards that includes wildfires, blizzards and tornadoes.
Expect strong, gusty winds and some heavy down pours as well as a chance some storms produce hail. The Storm Prediction Center placed a level 1 out of 5 severe storm risk for all of Southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
SEVERE PREDICTION. STORM PREDICTION CENTER ACTUALLY EXTENDED THAT ON DOWN. THIS ALSO INCLUDES A SIGNIFICANT RISK FOR SEEING TORNADOES AS WELL. SO KEEPING A CHECK ON THAT HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT.
