The woman who made Arizona’s flag is getting recognition for her efforts as the city of Flagstaff works to save her historic home from demolition.

Known as the “Betsy Ross” of Arizona, May Hicks Curtis sewed the first Arizona state flag in 1911. Mason Carroll reports.
