Franjo von Allmen has won gold in the men’s downhill at the Alpine skiing world championships as the Swiss team swept the speed events.

Swiss Franjo von Allmen won men's downhill gold at the Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach on Sunday, with compatriot Alexis Monney clinching bronze and defending champion Marco Odermatt finishing fifth.
