As part of the 2023-24 NBA MVP award presentation for Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic, Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche presented Jokic with the trophy.

Much of that success is due to a pair of generational talents in Nikola Jokic and Nathan MacKinnon, both of whom won the Most Valuable Player awards last season in the NBA and NHL, respectively.

Denver’s duo of MVPs — Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon — are Colorado’s Pro Athletes of the Year.

In '24, however, it happened again. Sharing Ball Arena, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic won the NBA MVP award and Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon won the Hart Memorial Trophy.

Jokic, the NBA MVP, took to the ice to present MacKinnon with his NHL MVP trophy. The two greeted each other with a hug and posed for a photo next to MacKinnon’s newly acquired award.
