Because while other people paid parking tickets or attended court hearings, 21 couples were married — for free! — on Valentine’s Day in Rooms 40, 41 and 42 in the lower level of the building off Kellogg Boulevard in downtown St. Paul.

Five Valentine’s Day weddings were scheduled at Carroll County Circuit Court in Westminster, including couples from Hampstead and Taneytown.

Six Chatham County Judges and the Superior Court Clerk are dedicated Valentine’s Day to officiating weddings. Over a dozen couples were wed on Friday, February 14 at the Montgomery Street Courthouse.

For many, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to celebrate love, and for some couples, there’s no better way to mark the occasion than by saying, “I do.” At the Ector County Courthouse, love was in the air as couples lined up to tie the knot.
