First Steps is looking to have a very strong opening weekend at the box office. Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps finally arrives in theaters this coming weekend. Directed by Matt Shakman, the movie stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic,

“Superman,” the newly rebooted comic book adventure starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, flew to $122 million in its first weekend of release. Those are strong ticket sales, enough to rank as the year’s third-largest debut after “A Minecraft Movie” ($162 million) and “Lilo & Stitch” ($146 million).

Elsewhere, new offerings 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' and 'Smurfs' are no match for the Man of Steel and are both eyeing a domestic opening in the $12 million range.
