José Caballero had two hits and two RBIs and the Tampa Bay Rays scored all their runs in the second inning before holding on for a 4-3 win over the Chicago White Sox.

TAMPA — In an attempt to avoid severe weather expected late Tuesday, the Rays moved up the start of the game against the White Sox to 7:05 p.m. First pitch originally was scheduled for 7:35 p.m.; the Rays announced the change at about 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

The White Sox have scored 35 runs during the current four-game win streak. Coincidentally, that’s their most runs in any four-game stretch since the aforementioned four-game win streak in September of 2022, when they scored 38 runs. With their record at 36-65, the White Sox are 29 games below .500 for the first time since July 5.
